Live Labs launches Photosynth Technology Preview

Photosynth has got to be the coolest creation from the whiz kids inside Microsoft Live Labs (as we've shown here on 10). Now they've decided the time is right to unleash their creation to the public. We've been playing with this internally at the 10 HQ for a few weeks and it's clear now that going back to any other photography experience just doesn't stand up.

Provided you meet the photosynth system requirements, download the tech preview for yourself, fill it full of last summer's vacation photos, and prepare to be impressed.

Imagine being able to click your way through the Eiffel tower with perfect photographic reality...or walk the Venice Beach boardwalk...or simply show off your new living room to your friends over the net. Well, it's all about to become real. Photosynth is an incredible new application takes multiple photographs of any location and merges them together to create a interactive 3D landscape. In the not too distant future we all might be able to walk the globe...through Photosynth. Is that cool or what?

Digg V3 launches complete with categories, visualization, and over-exposed excitement

The launch party for DIGG version three was the place to be in San Francisco this weekend. The new version will include visualization of the Digg organism in real time, not to mention many more categories including a separate space for videos, all of which can naturally be experienced separately through the aggregator of your choice. In honor of the white-hot amount of excitement around this site revision, we present our interview with Kevin Rose in white-hot excitement mode.
