I'm going to be honest with you guys- the Teleprompter is one of my  favorite inventions ever. Don't get me wrong, it's not always easy to make it appear as though you are not reading to the audience at home but once you've got it down it makes a world of difference. The problem has been that teleprompter cameras are expensive, bulky and time consuming to program- but not any more. Watch this clip and check out the first truly portable and SUPER simple teleprompter.

The Eye-Fi Card is a breakthrough new product that everyone with a digital camera needs to know about. It's a 2GB SD card and wireless memory card that automatically uploads pictures from your digital camera or PC directly to the photo sharing site, photo printing site, blog, or social network of your choice. The Eye-Fi Card stores pictures like a regular SD card, up to 2 GB, and then uploads your photos automatically as soon as you return to your home network (or any open Wi-Fi network that doesn't require a login via an initial splash screen webpage...like Starbucks). Amazingly, the card already works with a myriad of services, including Kodak, Walmart, Snapfish, Photobucket, Facebook, Webshots, Phanfare, Shutterfly, flickr, TypePad, Vox, Sharpcast, and many more.

Through a sea of high-definition tv's at CES, I spied the Jasco booth with an interesting selection of home security devices on display including a solar powered camera that you can put outside your house without running a power line to it. Is it worth $300 to tell whether your late-night visitor is carrying a Papa John's box or an axe? I think so.

About a week after we aired our first two pieces about Office RoundTable, the phone rang here at the 10 HQ. Our new best friend Rajiv Kapoor from the Microsoft Unified Communications group called out of the clear blue to say he'd love to show off the finished RoundTable alongside LiveMeeting 2007. Naturally we grabbed the camera and ran across campus.

Picking up where yesterday's conversation left off, we have more Office RoundTable goodness. Ross fires up one of the prototype cameras and gives us more detail on how the massive camera resolution, combined with the RoundTable's intelligent software, take the remote conference experience to the next level.

And lest we forget, this second conversation was captured using the prototype device. If you want to see everything the RoundTable sees then download the panoramic video.

One of the benefits of working on a small team is the low frequency of conference calls. Being on a 'call' as they're not-so-affectionately known typically means speaking once every fifteen minutes while sifting through email or catching up on that hilarious web comic.

The Office RoundTable stands to change the disconnected nature of the virtual meeting. Ross Cutler and his team inside Microsoft Research have built the ultimate videoconference device, and he's given us a look at how it came to be.

I'm back down in Vegas for NAB (The National Association of Broadcasters), the premier Broadcast Association worldwide.
The future of electronic media takes shape at the NAB show. Bringing together more than 100,000 attendees and 1,400 exhibitors from 130 countries, the NAB show delivers the most comprehensive showcase of electronic media in the world. I went in search of an HD cam....and here's what I found.

Hola world. I’m Scott and I’ve been helping to develop some of the pieces for 10. This is my first ‘on screen’ appearance though and I hope you find something you like here.

The basis of the piece was really straight forward. I wanted to go shopping for a point and shoot camera with someone who could help me evaluate what I would find. I’ve wanted a new camera since last Christmas’ blurry mementos and knew I could use some help. So, with a hidden camera, a guy who should know and a too cheap microphone, I went out and got one. And to the Tina and Laura fanboys – relax, they’ll be back tomorrow. :)
