This rather hip site has been designed to promote the Zune by featuring experimental videos from various visual artists as well as tracks from several indie musicians, too. You can browse through, view, and stream the content available on the website or you can download it to your Zune. On Zune Arts, you can download full clips, Zune wallpaper, Zune desktops, buddy icons, and more.

This is a pretty fascinating way to sell the Zune and seems to go hand-in-hand with those otherworldly Zune TV commercials I’ve seen. Instead of seeming like an annoying advertisement, the site is actually a showcase of art -- art that you can move to your Zune and take with you.

The latest download from Zune Arts is a first for the site – a graphic novel. This graphic novel is called “The Lost Ones” and it’s written by Steve Niles, the writer of “30 Days of Night.” The artwork in the novel comes from graffiti artists Dr. Revolt, Gary Panter, Kime Buzzelli, and Morning Breath. According to I4U News, the novel “chronicles the adventures of four friends Duncan, Roxy, Rasheed, and Cynthia whose day of extreme planet jumping turns into a race to get home alive.”

Considering that modern-day MP3 players have screens for viewing video, it’s a wonder that we haven’t seen more graphic novels miniaturized for these devices – could this be the start of a whole new medium? I don’t know, but I’m downloading my copy now.

<evnet:views>5298</evnet:views><evnet:viewtrackingurl>http://on10.net/22930/WebViewBug.aspx?EVT=0</evnet:viewtrackingurl><evnet:previewtext>
Have you seen the site Zune Arts? Viscosity kind of reminds me of some of Shirley Shor's work that was featured on Celebrity Apprentice last week. While I looked at Shirley's vastly expensive framed LCD panel playing through moving artwork, I thought to myself "Hey, I could make that with an old Tablet PC... well, except for the moving art part." Well, now I think I'll just frame a spare Tablet PC and direct it to Jeff's Viscosity watch page. I've tried here and there but never went full force into learning good technique. Then I found Animation Master. It makes animating objects really simple and fun to learn. This is definitely a program for beginners and not expert animators but for people like me, its a quick and fun way to get your foot through the animation door.

<evnet:views>9158</evnet:views><evnet:viewtrackingurl>http://on10.net/20252/WebViewBug.aspx?EVT=0</evnet:viewtrackingurl><evnet:previewtext>I've been fiddling around with Photoshop for years now and I love manipulating my pictures and putting my friends heads on Fabio's body (good times) but I've always been hesitant to make the jump into animation. They recruit artists to become residents in their studio space and spend their time creating brilliant works of art. They are constantly having events and gallery showings which are both educational and inspiring. Recently they celebrated their 10th anniversary by throwing a huge party and since I never like to miss a party...I headed on over and brought my camera so I could share it all with you.
