If you're already a Live Mesh user, this will be a familiar look for you, although some of the UI has been tweaked to conform with Mac norms. If you're dying to get your Mesh on your Mac, head over to mesh.com and sign-up, so that you'll be ready to be a part of this limited release once it goes live later today.

<evnet:views>34598</evnet:views><evnet:viewtrackingurl>http://on10.net/23867/WebViewBug.aspx?EVT=0</evnet:viewtrackingurl><evnet:previewtext>Noah Edelstein stopped by and gave us a first look at the Mac client for Live Mesh, so now if you've got some electro-diversity in your home ecosphere, you can drag & drop, share & push all your files to your other machines just like the I'm a PC folks.

First, it opened up its private beta to all of the U.S. (and others who were willing to edit their regional settings), next they released their mobile version, and then the rumors of the Mac version were revealed to be true when LiveSide discovered the Mac client. But today, Mac users don’t have to wait any longer to try Live Mesh - the Mac version has finally been officially released.

According to this page on Microsoft’s Live Mesh site, the Mac version is now ready for download. It reads that with the Live Mesh Mac extender, you can

Add your Mac to your Live Mesh - it will appear with your other devices on www.mesh.com and throughout the Live Mesh UI.

Synchronize files between your Mac, your other computers, and your Live Desktop.

Synchronize folder contents between your Mac and other folder members.

Easily access Live Mesh news, your Live Desktop, and manage your devices from the Live Mesh menu bar item.

Receive notifications through Live Mesh when updates are available and easily update the Live Mesh extender for Mac.

But, be warned, the Mac version is still under development, so there may be issues with it. Please use it at your own risk.

Now that you’ve been warned, go get it.

<evnet:views>17290</evnet:views><evnet:viewtrackingurl>http://on10.net/23141/WebViewBug.aspx?EVT=0</evnet:viewtrackingurl><evnet:previewtext>
Windows Live Mesh, the new S+S (software plus services) platform for data synchronization has received a lot of attention this month. For convenience, I've set this up to be hosted at http://jdandbrian.podshow.com, but it will still have an RSS feed from my Channel 10 blog page.

In this first episode, we introduce ourselves and talk about what we're going to talk about on the show. We're planning to record these on Thursday, and I'll try to have them posted by Friday morning.
What someone applied the same format to application development that was used to bring Kelly Clarkson to the world (alright, bad example)? Phillip Ryu and co. have been running My Dream App in essentially the same way, and it’s garnered quite a following in the Mac community. Today is their final round of voting, which is being judged by a panel including our own J Allard.

In an effort to harbor equality between the platforms, occasionally we here at 10 will bring you interesting things from the boys and girls in Cupertino, CA. Here is a case where someone has a truly excellent idea (competitive software design) and given the power to people who will almost certainly become avid users of the winning applications. We like to think of this as a small-scale Imagine Cup, and we think it’s a format the Windows community should jump right into.
