Through a sea of high-definition tv's at CES, I spied the Jasco booth with an interesting selection of home security devices on display including a solar powered camera that you can put outside your house without running a power line to it. Is it worth $300 to tell whether your late-night visitor is carrying a Papa John's box or an axe? I think so.

Indeed.  You never said should.  IF is still an implication.
I made that distinction.  :)

I totally never said they should. I said IF they did I would have to put my Rainbow Six skills to use.

You always have to be so cruesome, Ted.

First you imply terrorist might take over vegas when Tina is staying there...and now...something even more horrifying.

It's clever...but disturbing. :)

Aha, but riddle me this.... What if the visitor at the door has the axe hidden inside the Papa John's box? What then? :) I do think that's a cool device. Very Sam Fisher-ish.

Sweet segment, Tina...and I loved the little puns in your description. :)

Do you think you need a home monitoring system?  I can understand how it would have been a necessity outside LA, but I didn't think it would be that important in Redmond.

Jasco has some really impressive home security gear.  While the solar motion camera is a great idea, I don't thinks it looks particularly aesthetic around the yard or mounted to a house.  I also think it's a little large and impractical to conceal.  Obviously, you don't have to hide it, but that would increase its overall effectiveness in monitoring any activity around your house.

Now the Intellicorder is just plain brilliant and reasonably priced!  I am seriously going to invest in one of those for my house...when I actually settle down and buy a house.
