According to Major Nelson, if you were one of the people who successfully applied to the preview program (and submitted your console ID), you may have already gotten the New Xbox Experience (go check now!) That post of his went up yesterday, November 17th – two days before the official launch. If you don’t see the prompt to download the update, sorry…you’ll have to wait until Wednesday like everyone else. But meanwhile, you can prepare for the update by prepping yourself on the install process. This video will show you the way. Or if you just want a refresher on what to expect, Sara at the Gamerscore blog has a summary of all the NXE vidoes and posts.

Was lucky enough to get into the preview program for the NXE and have been using it for the past few weeks and I've really enjoyed the new look. Looking forward to being able to take advantage of the party system now that the rest of my friends will be getting the update today. Also, I think the new guide is one of the best features of the update. Literally being able to access anything on your Xbox from anywhere you may be, including when running the media center extender feature, is a wonderful thing. Overall this is an improvement in most every way and I look forward to the tweaks that come in the future to continually improve upon the overall Xbox experience.
