Oh cool! Dev Parikh of Hack MSN Spaces has posted instructions on how to customize your Spaces blog with a custom background image on a post-by-post basis. Another blogger, Little Big Fish, provided the background images and the code. To customize your Space, first you browse the background database (the Hack MSN Spaces SkyDrive folder) and click to download the code text file next to the background of your choosing. Open the file and copy the HTML code. Back in Spaces, create a new blog entry, press the <HTML> button in the blog editing tools section, paste the code, and then click the <HTML> button again. You will then see the background image and a "your text here" box. Click in the box to write what you want. When you post your blog entry, you will have the image as your background, like in the example here. Sweet! Thanks to the guys at LiveSide for posting about this one.
