We're hanging out in the Podtech BlogHaus sponsored by Seagate getting ready to watch the keynote address. This is the best place to be if you're a blogger, especially if you have video to move. While the hotels are crippled with geek traffic, the bandwidth at the BlogHaus is incredible (40MB!) Thanks Seagate and Podtech!

I've been snapping some pictures while Nic and Laura work, so while you wait for the keynote to start, jump over to Jeff Sandquist's Flickr feed and see some behind the scenes shots of us talking to Bill Gates, Robbie Bach, and riding on the double decker bus Laura hijacked.

I'm a huge Microsoft fan but I have to admit..this was a complete snoozer.  And ironically, Bill's tribute was the best part.  Not one major hardware announcement?!?  Where was mention of the new Windows Mobile operating system?  What about the rumors of a major announcement for XBox?  What about the future of Media Center platform?  Where are the content deals for Media Center?  Where is IPTV for Media Center?  What is the future of Windows Mobile?  The announcements that

- BT will sell XBox 360 and IPTV service.  When?  Why not in the U.S.?

- Zune to be sold in Canada in Spring

- Ford to offer upgrade to Sync this year for 911 service

- NBC will use Microsoft SilverLight in coverage of 2008 Olympics

- MGM Movies and ABC TV Shows coming to XBox Marketplace

- Tellme's Say n See service coming

Thanks, USArcher. It's hard to keep people from starting rumors or making predictions. One of the things I always try to get across in our videos is the amount of work involved in shipping something like Windows Home Server or Sync, these are massive undertakings. That said you should check out our video with Robbie Bach, he talks about some of the things you mention.
