The CES keynote stream is starting now, you can see it here. This is an important night for Bill Gates, after 15 years and 11 keynote addresses, this will be his last as he begins the transition from Microsoft FTE (full time employee) to being a full-time Gates Foundation employee.

Bill was kind enough to sit down with us this morning and talk about the state of consumer electronics, what he thinks is important, and where this is all going. Stay tuned because after the keynote we'll be posting an interview with Robbie Bach.

Hmmm...interesting announcements:

1. Xbox 360 to get MGM films for download, including "The Terminator", "Silence of the Lambs", "Rain Main", etc.

2. Disney/ABC to provide episodes of "Lost", "Desperate Housewives", "Grey's Anatomy", etc.

3. British Telecom to be first cable provider of IPTV for Xbox 360.

Also, looks like Bill likes Guitar Hero:

@V360: dude, watch the keynote...

I guess I was expecting Bill to make a big announcement.  After all it is his last CES Keynote before he steps down and pursues his philanthropy work fulltime.

Welcome to TEN, Nic.  What a way to start the show eh?
