The Geek Stories: Un-Jumble the Web with Particls

Ever read a web page and say to yourself "I must remember to come back to this site, just in case this page changes."

In this episode of The Geek Stories, I interview Chris Saad (CEO) and Ashley Angell (CTO) of Faraday Media - and developers of Particls. As a beta-tester for over 6 weeks - I love the pop-up alerts based on my keywords.

With Particls, a new piece of software, why not have the computer watch the internet for you? When the page changes, an alert appears. Even Ashley's mum uses Particls to help her to watch the internet.

Using internet technologies such as RSS, plugins for web browsers - and lots of web-smarts, Particls is your person web-agent.

If you publish to the web: blogs or podcasts, Faraday allow you to create a customized version using Particls InTouch. Already used by Cameron O'Reilly's Podcast Network, it is an additional way to attract traffic, and revenue.

Great show, added particls to the munge page of mikeseyfang.com [only wish I had a machine with vista to enjoy it properly!!].

Having just found, subscribed and downloaded Rocketboom from my Nokia N80, I thought I would try the same experiment with this episode of your show.  Not quite the same experience - a download for phones (?3gp or .mp4 with MPEG encoding) would do the trick. 

Then we just need to get this fine show listed in the directories that ship with Nokia's podcasting application for the N80 et al.
