Ever since we came out with live.com I have been a huge fan of the domain name.  You say "Google it" I say "Live it!"  To each his own.

Either way, for a long time I have been asking the product teams to use username@live.com instead of user@hotmail.com as my email address... and today they have delivered! Starting right now you can go here and register a name, like bubba@live.com, but you better hurry before all the good (short) names are taken and you end up with something like clownmember.f4r7@live.com.

Hi dude

ididn't find the domain name Live

i find only the domain @Windowslive.com

if there is another way to get the domain name @live.com

thank you

You can also create a Live.IT (nice Information Technology) or Live.IE address (if the .com is already taken) I created shortcuts for almost all of them on my blog : --> http://blog.hznet.nl/index.php/2007/11/06/update-livecom-registration-is-opened-other-live-too
I'm from India. I tried to get live mail id but couldn't get actually. There is a field asking for my username@hotmail.com(hotmail.com is the only option in that dropdown). Is that currently open only to US ?. Can we not get the live mail username as same as in hotmail?
@Visvabalaji : Did you try the direct-links on my website (see the my post below yours)?

man i want a live.com address not crappy live.co.uk aargh

 .co.uk.co.uk .co.uk <<rubbish

Thanks for the heads-up, Max.

But just how do you get a yourname@live.com email now??

All I could get was yourname@windowslive.com - not nearly so cool!

I've gotten word from people at different times that @live.com doesn't show up and sometimes it does...  The best I can do right now is tell you to keep trying at different times as usually if it is not there, it is back within a few minutes or so.  This is brand-spankin'-new-coolness and the signup method doesn't appear to be 100% perfect yet Smiley

Who cares! Why would I want to help you market this non-sense. I have a vintage  hot mail account from back in the late 90s before Microsoft bought it. I see no need to confuse the 1000s of spammers that have this email address by changing it now.

No Thanks
