We all want a little more realism in our video games, thats the goal right? So what better than actually feeling a *thud* against your chest or side or shoulder when you get fragged in a first person shooter?!? That's what TN Games is offering us all. They've created a vest that recreates the forceful impact that a bullet would. But how real can it really feel? Really real. Take a look and see.

thats gonna give the gamer phrase "BOOM HEADSHOT" a totally new perspective in the future! i want one for all my friends Big Smile
Actually, they've got a helmet coming out soon that they will show at CES. They let us try that out, I found getting shot in the head more than a little disturbing.

That's cool a cool piece of kit Laura, I have always wanted something like it, rumble simply just does not cut it and is dire in comparison. Directional impact sensing IS the future. I would love to use this for a whole host of games, especially CoD4 multiplayer and Crysis. Did you ask if a 360 version is a possibility or in the works?. It would be great to use on that with the number of FPS and driving games it has on the platform. I reckon you guys at Microsoft should have made one of these things ages ago anyway. Pneumatically driven bladders is a very cool idea I look forward to see how TN develop this technology. Feeling bullets enter and leave the body sounds freaky, and you looked freaked out by it lol.

Thanks bunches Smiley

PS- Where the hell is Tina!?!

Yeah, there's more about the helmet that makes it cool, but I'll let them have their day at CES. Definitely worth checking out.
I've seen the Gaming Vest for only $154 at http://www.fpsvest.com.
