We all know that bigger is better, right? Well it doesn't get any bigger than the IMAX movie screen and it doesn't get any cooler than 3-D movies coming at you from that IMAX screen. Check out this episode to see what goes on behind that screen...

IMAX 3D is just one step closer to a Holodeck! Yay!

I'll have to check out the 3D IMAX, I've only seen the Mario Andretti movie on IMAX so far.
Keep em' coming.

ps...where did everyone go...no one comments anymore:( a little promotion never hurt anyone;)
On the ball as usual. Thanks Laura.  Smiley
Yeah, I know.  It's like everybody went away after the Cliffy B. segment.  It's just too quiet now.  I think part of the probem is that 10 is no longer released at 10 PST.  They wait till the end of the day before a new one is releashed.  I don't know about you, but I'm busy when I get home from work and school.  I don't have the time or interest to see what's new on 10 or comment by then.
I always thought IMAX technology was a little more advanced than it actually is.  From the look of things, I'd say it's almost archaic.  Movies are about to go digital with video disks and light emitting diode projectors, so IMAX, while still offering 3D visuals, will be technologically behind the curve and rather expensive to maintain and operate.

I was amazed by the size of projection reels and the arc light bulb!  That reel was only six months old, but looked like a movie projector from a decade ago.  That bulb was both amazing and expensive.  Its was huge and looked as though it utilizes arching electricity to generate light!  At six grand a pop...owch!  I wonder how much it weighed...
I really need to go check out the 3D imax here in town. I saw an IMAX movie a few weeks ago there and wasn't impressed. Hopefully the 3D will add a better effect.
i agree with that. i only check once, maybe twice, after i get off of work, and if the video isn't up i haven't been checking back.
Big Screen...big reel = IMAX
Big screen...small reel, NO Worky good.
It sucks, I know. Sad

But hey, I'm learning about all this in my broadcasting classes anyway! It's really cool because we're trying to learn how to do some of this stuff without all those fancy tools.
