HP Crossfire brings Vista to the kitchen

Actually what I was hoping to illustrate is the terrible naming conventions that happen within most organizations. 'IQ770' sounds more like someone reading part of a product SKU to me, whereas Crossfire is a more human term.

Hence, why keep the non-human terms alive?

Ha - okay, I agree with you.  But I would have said something like "the Crossfire - or HP IQ770 if you're reading this from someone else's basement - is a new blah blah blah."  

I mean, didn't you make up a new html markup command to imply the name was dorky?  Wouldn't only dorks GET that?    Sheesh!

HP have long been my fav device OEM, from way back with the Jornada Pocket PC series, and I'm a committed fan to the HP TC1100 Tablet PC (but guys I really need Vista versions of the QMenu!!! and hardware button drivers). Both these devices were great innovations - the Jornada for its varied attachments (I still use my 560 for Tom Tom satnav) - and I still smile happily when the TC1100 shows up on 24. A great shame HP stopped developing both of them.

The Crossfire looks like another interesting product. I look forward to seeing it in the UK. Keep it up HP we want more.

Looks tres cute, but the comprimise on resolution does no one any favours.

With such puny screen res/size they may have done better adding magnets on the back and making it a fridge door mount.

It seems like more of a toy than serious attempt at a VIsta box.
