Part 2 of my Halstead York interview is now up, wherein we discuss VC-1, Silverlight, frame rate unsampling, and many other things. Part 3 talking about DRM (save the most contentious for last!) will be up soon.

Hi, Ben!

I take part in project where the main idea is broadcasting of media content from webcam, desktop, file.
All translations accomplishes with Windows Media Encoder 9.0 and Windows Media Server 9.0.

I migrate this project to Silverlight technology.
After last update of Silverlight Runtime, the Media Element stopped displaying the mms-stream if it broadcasted playlist or live stream (for example webcam).
If the source of broadcasting is set to some file then Media Element displays a video.

Is this a problem of Windows Media Server or Windows Media Encoder ?

When will I be able to translate a stream by using Expression Media Encoder ?

Now there is no such option in Expression Media Encoder, but it exists in your video (from Mix 2007)

When will Expression Media Encoder SDK be presented ?

Will the Expression Media Encoder SDK support mixing of sound ?

Will you produce Expression Media Encoder for mobile devices (Windows Mobile)?

Do you develop some analogue of Windows Media Format ?

Thanks,
with best regards, Anton Palyok (N.Tony)
Did you get a chance to try with Silverlight 1.0 and the August Blend 2 previews? Hopefully that will have fixed the issues.
