Hey, great segment! Duncan hasn't been on in a while - he looks great.
I've read some of his blog posts and articles for Xbox dads. It's great that he spends the time to check the games and play them with his son. Then he actually uses that experience to recommend games for other dads. Awesome.
Sadly, there aren't too many Xbox games that parents can play with their kids. "Lego Star Wars" is really an exception. Few games really stress cooperation and support the drop-in drop-out design. Most of the games in the Xbox library are geared toward mature gamers, so it limits the options. Fortunately, there are always Nintendo and Sony titles like "Mario Kart" or "We love Katamari".
I owe so much of my love for gaming to my father. Who set up all my videogames consoles and taught me how to beat "Super Mario Bros." when I was too young to do it for myself? My dad!!! My love for aviation and flight simulator are all because of my father. Unfortunately, he's never been a console gamer. Apart from his modest collection of PC games including Flightsim, Quake, and Card Games; he never got into consoles. He could beat "Super Mario Bros." in record time back on the NES, but that's as far as he ever went.
This was a fantastic video and very appropriate. It's great to see you on camera, Tina. I was worried you were going to disappear for the rest of the summer given the circumstances. Thanks for sticking to it and not disappointing.
Happy Father's Day, everyone!
