Windows Live Community Builder

The Windows Live team recently released a new service called Windows Live Community Builder. With this service, you can offer your community members, whether for business, non-profit, or anyone, customized versions of Windows Live services like Windows Live Search, Windows Live Photos, Windows Live Contacts, Virtual Earth mapping, & Silverlight technologies. The service also includes the features of Windows Live Admin Center, which brings Windows Live Hotmail, Live Calendar, Messenger, Spaces, & SkyDrive services to your users branded with your own domain name. For a killer example of the Community Builder in action, check out The Group Inc. Real Estate's website. Built with Live Services, the site features map-based property searches. A bunch of other mashups are listed here. I have to say, Sarah -- I'm really impressed by the offerings here. The difficulty I'm having is finding documentation. You have to start the setup process before you see anything. I'd love to evaluate the services here without immediately giving over my domain. There's also some appeal to mixing and matching Live Communities with, say, Google Apps; in the spirit of Web mash-ups, combining various APIs has real potential.
