The first true collaboration between HP and Voodoo PC has arrived: the HP Blackbird gaming system. This system—named after the Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird reconnaissance plane—gives HP the weapon it needed in the fight against rivals such as Alienware, Falcon Northwest, Overdrive PC, and Dell (with its XPS line). Little touches and consolidated improvements from both HP and Voodoo make the Blackbird the most compelling gaming system I've seen. This is a system I would show off if I had one. (hint, hint)

Well, I'm sure if you've been a good girl, Santa will be thinking of you this Christmas...

wondering how long after christmas the first kid goes:" oh no, i dropped my  reconnaissance plane!!!"

anyway isnt this thing a bit bulky for a laptop - and where is the display???

...of death perhaps. Wink

Since when have angles listened to Pink anyway?
Yeah, Morgan Webb was supporting the Blackbird on her news blog, webbalert.com, a few weeks ago.  She even gave one away after testing it herself.  Like anything, however, the novelty has worn off and she has found other technical sponcers.  Still an awesome gaming rig though.

Death Rattlesnakes... On A Plane
A true angel of death(and you should see 'em, buddy, heh) listen to Cannibal Corpse and Slayer. No, I'd say Laura is mearly an lesser-imp. Thats better than being a charib, at least.

That said, this BlackBird at $2,500-$7,000, in my opinion, is just another reason why its alway's better and cheaper to build your own desktop. There's nothing really I'm seeing here that cannot be attained when you go down the DIY route.

Are you bein' a smartass, or was that a legitimate  question?

Since my responce to the first would be too crude for On10, I'll assume the latter. Cannibal Corpse is a popular Death Metal band, dealing with such themes as Rape, Murder, Torture and Death. The band's music is so heavy, so violent, Korea banned the group from playing in the country. I used Cannibal Corpse in my comment for this reason, and it fit well with the "Angel Of Death" label. Also added Slayer in there too, because of the first song on their album "Reign In Blood" shares that name. Worked out pretty well.
