The new beta of Windows Live Photo Gallery is now available and it’s an important update for any photo enthusiast using Vista. The new version includes connectivity with Windows Live Spaces most importantly, allowing the user to easily upload photos to their Spaces account. Kip reports on LiveSide a quick rundown of the beta’s features. Also online are a few screenshots of Windows Live Folders, which will provide a place online for Live users to store and share their large files. Keep an eye on the Windows Live betas site for more as the summer marches on.

UPDATE: The WL Photo Gallery beta has only been seeded internally, and a public beta won't be available until later this year. We'd like to see integration with more photo services than Spaces by the time this gets released, so hopefully it's been designed to allow an intrepid user to write a plug-in.

This is great... but... the link to download it does not work yet.
The link to download the program does not work yet
Don't know if it's just me, but I click on the photo link and just get the standard getlive.com page.  I tried checking 'cool new betas' and can't seem to find it there either...
you can find it in your microsoft connect account, if you participate in live betas you just click on "my participation" and then on the live betas and you get several live betas to chose from including this newly added photo gallery beta. this link here doesnt work for me either.
Does it support uploading to the market leading online Photo site, Flickr? That would be impressive!

It seems that this beta is only available in some countries. I'm from Spain, and in my region get.live.com/betas Web site the Photo Gallery link doesn't appear.
Earier yesterday after Jese D. posted the link was working however download wasn't. Few hours later someone redirected the link to getlive.com page. So far it's not available for download.  Sad
Hello,

Could you please direct me where I can go to sign up for the waiting list or receive an invitation for Windows Live Photo Gallery beta?

Can you also direct me to the website or email add. that I can go to add a feature suggestion for Live Photo Gallery.

The Feature: Be able to add Music folder (possibly mp3) so that there is a taste of music to add with the amazing slideshow feature. Also be able to shuffle those songs, A feature that is not included with Google's Picasa.

Thank-you so very much,

Shawn Osborne
