This is more Star Trek Legacy gameplay footage than I think you'll find anywhere on the tubes... a full mission from somewhere later in the single-player storyline of Star Trek Legacy... including Picard, Sisko, the Defiant, the Galaxy class Enterprise-D and lots of exploding Romulans.

(Check out Part 1 and Part 2 of my trip to visit Mad Doc Software)

Actually, Sisko was stationed at Utopia Planetia before DS9, working on the Defiant. (see http://memory-alpha.org/en/wiki/Benjamin_Sisko). The writers dug deep for that idea though.

Thanks for the clarification. I stand corrected. With that explanation, I am even more anxious for this title. I applaud your attention to detail in the game, and I appreciate your responding to my comment.

Actually...you are correct about his rank only as it refers to Sisko's time on DS9.  However, this mission doesn't take place during his command of Deep Space Nine.  After the destruction of the Saratoga at Wolf 359, Lt. Commander Sisko was assigned to the Defiant development project at Utopia Planetia.  This is Canon and was referenced in DS9.  As I wrote for the show and this game, I can assure you the reference to his rank and the time period it takes place are correct.  This is the Defiants first test run, and Sisko is acting captain at this time during its testing phase.  So again...this takes place pre-DS9.

Great video, game looks good. However, I do hope MadDoc realizes that Benjamin Sisko was never a Lieutenant Commander at any time during his time on Deep Space 9 (or the Defiant). His rank was always Commander or Captain, both ranks are above the Lt. Commander I keep hearing in the voiceovers. Glaring error that many other fans will call MadDoc on.

Perhaps someone can forward this to MadDoc. Probably too late for release. Maybe correctable in a later Live update?

It was long, I'll give you that... at the time I was so pumped to be watching it that it seemed more like a TV show than a cut scene... but as long as I can quit it when I want (you can) then I like long cut scenes... creates that "I'm in a movie!" affect and (on the 5th restart/retry) I can skip it after I've seen it enough :)

That was easily the longest and most tedious cut scene I've ever seen in a video game. Ah well, the gameplay MORE than made up for it.

I agree online coop via Live is the way to go for the instances where it makes sense to do so. For example Gears of War, Rainbow Six Vegas, and now Star Trek Legacy. More titles need to incorporate this feature and I think we will see exactly that happening in the future.

The single player campaign gameplay looks awesome by the way!

The best ship ever...please, she was an over-powered, over-gunned, under utilized Valiant class starship; one step up from a tactical Runabout.

Just kidding, Erik. :)

Excelsior class starships, now those are impressive.  They've been in service from the latter-half of the 23rd century well into the 24th century, Refitted of course.

w00t, thanks!  I sent a link to my college roommate to check out the video.  He's the one that got me started on DS9.  The wife and I are at the beginning of Season 4 (watching the series for the second time).

You'll have to show me the game when you get it.  Playing with another person online against AI is freakin' awesome.  I hope more games do this (when appropriate) in the future.

That looks pretty cool. I just hope they have the Death Star trench run in the game. That part owned in the movie :)
